TMH was started in the late 1960 s by shri M.D.THOMAS.He started his career as a violinist and played for even Padmasree.K.J.YESUDAS. Later he was interested in the manufacturing side and started TMH .

He travelled all over india for learning violin and guitar making,but he was not satisfied and keep on trying. In late 1980 s he got connection with violin making school in america, and he even got admission there. He was not able to join there but with their help he got connection with various violin and guitar making persons in america. That helped him to explore the new world of traditional and international violin and guitar making which helped him a lot in the future journey.

For him this is not a business but a" passion" and" no compromise in quality". At present TMH is situated in palace road thrissur and NTMH is near to aswini hospital.
